Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement in Nigeria, made a significant donation on Saturday in honor of his 67th birthday. He donated his personal house to establish the Majidadi Institute of Islamic Research and Advancement. This institution is dedicated to providing Almajiris, who memorize the Holy Quran, with training and certification in primary, secondary, and diploma courses.

Kwankwaso explained that the institute, which was created out of his Miller Road residence, now belongs to humanity as a whole. He stated that the purpose of the institute is not only to remove beggars from the streets, but also to provide them with life-changing opportunities.

The curriculum of the institute includes rigorous training in both English and Arabic studies, so that students can pursue higher education and expand their knowledge. Kwankwaso expressed his hope that the institute will give the students the chance to be certified and integrated into the education system, allowing them to reach their full potential.

Governor Abba Yusuf expressed his gratitude to Kwankwaso for his initiative, calling it a significant contribution to the education sector in the state. The state government also pledged to rehabilitate 44 Tsangiya Islamic Schools across the local government areas and ensure that adequate learning materials are provided for a conducive learning environment.

Yusuf praised Kwankwaso for his leadership and emphasized the importance of learning from his style of governance to ensure good democratic governance in the state.
