President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mr. Ola Olukoyede as the new Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). According to a statement from presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, Olukoyede, a lawyer with over 22 years of experience, has served in various capacities in the EFCC, including Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Commission. His appointment follows the resignation of the suspended Executive Chairman, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa.

Additionally, President Tinubu has approved the appointment of Muhammad Hassan Hammajoda as Secretary of the EFCC. Hammajoda is a public administrator with extensive experience in public finance management.
