The Lagos State Government announced on Monday that the Ladipo Market has not yet been reopened. The market is required to meet certain environmental and safety conditions before it can resume business activities.

In a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Mrs. Kadiri Folashade, it was stated that the market has not fully complied with the mandatory safety and environmental measures outlined by the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of people and the environment in marketplaces. He stated that the market will be reopened once it has met all the necessary safety standards set by LAWMA.

On the other hand, Oyingbo, Ile Epo Oke-Odo, and Alamutu markets have already been reopened as they have successfully met the required safety measures.
