President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated Nigeria's call for an immediate ceasefire and a peaceful resolution to the Israel-Palestine conflict. He made this statement during the Saudi-Africa Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The conflict between Israel and Palestine has been ongoing, with the recent escalation of violence caused by Hamas' attack on the Gaza border. Israel retaliated with airstrikes and a ground offensive, resulting in the deaths of thousands of people, including many children.

International calls for a ceasefire have increased, and there have been protests, including one targeting the White House. Despite Israel agreeing to a four-hour daily pause in northern Gaza for civilians to flee, President Joe Biden has stated that a full ceasefire is unlikely.

During the summit, President Tinubu assured potential investors that Nigeria is a safe place to invest and highlighted the country's high returns on investment. He also expressed Nigeria's desire to enhance collaboration with Saudi Arabia in combating terrorist organizations such as Boko Haram, ISWAP, and other extremist groups in the Lake Chad and Sahel regions.

President Tinubu mentioned the special relationship between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia and their cooperation in various international organizations. He highlighted Nigeria's economic diversification efforts and reforms aimed at improving the ease of doing business in the country.

The President also expressed gratitude for the Kingdom's humanitarian interventions in Nigeria through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre. He discussed the impact of climate change in Africa, particularly desertification and flooding, and commended the Kingdom for its initiatives in fighting the effects of climate change. Nigeria is also working on its own initiatives to combat climate change and energy poverty.

President Tinubu reiterated Nigeria's support for Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2030 World Expo in Riyadh and the 2034 FIFA Senior Men's World Cup.
