The Supreme Court has formed a panel of seven justices to hear the appeal in the petitions filed by three presidential candidates challenging the outcome of the election held on February 25th. The notices for the hearing have been served to the presidential candidates of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP) and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

The list of justices on the panel includes Musa Dattijo Muhammad, Uwani Musa Abba Aji, Lawal Garba, Helen M. Ogunwumiju, I.N. Saulawa, Tijjani Abubakar, and Emmanuel Agim.

In his appeal, Atiku Abubakar argues that the Presidential Election Petitions Court made an error when they dismissed his petition on the grounds that he failed to prove allegations of irregularities in the election. He also requests permission to file the academic records of another candidate, which he claims are forged.

Peter Obi contends that the tribunal's refusal to consider the blurred results from 18,088 polling units is a miscarriage of justice.

Chichi Ojei of the APM argues that certain candidates were disqualified due to invalid nomination.

Tinubu, through his counsel, argues that Atiku's petition is an abuse of court process and lacks merit. He also dismisses Obi's petition as lacking in merit.
